Season of Fire and Glory

Hi, it’s been a while! I just came back from Indonesia exactly a week ago. Everyone has been asking me about Empowered21 Asia and honestly I didn’t even know where to start. My Indonesia trip was bizarre!! It was so packed and intense, spiritually (in a good way though). So here’s my attempt at sharing the 3 weeks of amazingly-extraordinary-supernatural experience in 1 post. Enjoy!

So, I started my first week to spend time with both of our families while recovering from the jet lag. And then, I spent the second week hosting my Arctic friend Elizabeth (this is another story, but I guess most of you have known about it from my Instagram) and participating in JARS training from Jars International Ministry (Instagram: It was a 3-whole-day training to equip us to know our identity as a Jesus Lover, an Atmosphere Changer, and to respond to our callings as a Radical Saints.

The first day of training was confirmations over confirmations of what God has told me for the past year. But the second day I received healing even before the sessions were started. It was in the opening worship session before the first session of the day and the presence of the Lord was so strong and all of sudden, He spoke to me. He told me how my identity as a Bride of Christ was broken and I need a reconciliation with my husband. At the end of the day, we had a sweet reconciliation, something that I never thought, or expect, or even know at the beginning of the day. It was crazy how fast He revealed and healed at the same time within one day! (If only we respond and obey to do His instructions).

The last day of training was powerful and supernatural. Especially in the last session when we shared with each other about our journey with God. It was closed by a very strong and overwhelming presence of God, we began to prophesy and pray for one another. Most of us even received visions and heard His prophetic words. We received and also released anointings to each other, according to how the Holy Spirit led us.

I was really, really blessed by the teachings and your ministry, Jars International. Thank you, Kak Bel, Winda, Michele, and every coach of the sessions. We’ll definitely use the materials and share it with many people for the glory of God.

Then, I spent my last week of the trip with Empowered21 Asia, my main objective of going to Indonesia. Let me start by telling you that I didn’t plan for this trip before. In fact, I thought and decided that I was gonna miss this year’s Empowered21 Asia. But God spoke to me during my previous Indonesia trip in February. It was during the Minister Prayer Gathering in SICC, God told me to go. And so, I bought the tickets and booked the hotel a few days after that (That’s why I managed to get the tickets even though they were sold out right after I came back to Vancouver in March).

How can I summarize Empowered21 Asia? It was too bizarre, beyond words. It was a new level of presence of God. It just kept elevating day by day. Crazy! Last Sunday, I saw the highlights video of the event and it gave me goosebumps, even when I looked into my notes of the sessions. It gives me goosebumps, teary eyes, and I feel something burning inside of me, every time I remember the experience of the event (I know only participants of the event can relate to me).

I truly believe that God is so ready to pour out His Spirit upon His children. As I’ve shared in my previous post, this is the season of the Holy Spirit. This is the season when the ministry of His saints will be filled with signs and wonders. There will be more and more supernatural things. Those who believe and longing will begin to experience the next level of presence of God.

“And it shall come to pass afterward,
    that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your old men shall dream dreams,
and your young men shall see visions.
Even on the male and female servants
in those days I will pour out my Spirit.”

(Joel 2:28-29)

Empowered21 Asia has shown me that heaven on earth is possible. When the children of God gathered in one place with hunger and thirst to see His glory, worshipped Him with one heart, His glory will come to that place. Imagine if nearly 14000 participants of the event come back to their nations with a burning heart and start this level of worship and prayer movements in their cities. I truly believe that the Third Pentecost will really be realized soon!

I remembered I saw a long thread of fire and a tornado during the Opening Ceremony of the event. I began to understand from the speakers of the conference, what’s the meaning of the visions.

A long thread of fire refers to the fire in unity. This is the season of collaborations. I remembered Russel Evans said “There’s something great when one fire joins to another fire. It becomes a firestorm. It will become unstoppable”. I believe that the Body of Christ needs to unite, we need to spread the fire, or else it will burn out. We need to pray in one accord, one heart, for His Spirit to really take over the earth.

A tornado means the wind of the Holy Spirit will come so suddenly, and with a great impact. It won’t be just a breeze, but a tornado! It will be bizarre! Something that no one can deny. There will be an acceleration of healings, knowledge of God, fulfillment of prophecies, blessings, and even chaos. Hallelujah!

Anyway, with great things coming up, I somehow felt that the biggest challenge would be distrations. God spoke to me few months ago and I shared it to my circle of E3 leaders. And remembered few days after, it was confirmed by 2 people having the same dream of foxes. And surprisingly, it was confirmed again during my Indonesia trip by Ps. Jerome Ocampo (the Founder of United Prayer Rising movements).

God warned me at that time that the distractions of the enemy these days are not on big (and spiritual) things but on the little (and practical) things in our daily lives which will impact the bigger picture. I mean, it’s not easy to mislead a devoted Christian with false teachings or a new religion or any other false spiritual things, right? Especially when he/she already knows and understands the truth quite well.

But how about with financial bondage, family problems, health problems, for instance? Do you think it will affect our spiritual states when we encounter those problems? I think the answer will be Yes! It will, more or less, affect our spiritual conditions. And so, we need to really pay attention on how we live our lives daily and to try the best we can to stay away from that kind of problems.

God also warned me that a lot of times, the distractions of enemy these days are related to time. The enemy doesn’t only wanna steal our blessings, but also our time! With a very fast-paced, real-time, and user-customized information and technology nowadays, we can be trapped to spend our time unwisely. It is very dangerous as we will miss so many things that God wants us to do in this accelerated time. Let us check on how we live our lives daily!

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.”

(Ephesians 5:15-16)

Let’s spread the fire and glory,

Notes: I’ll fly to Toronto tomorrow to do some of ministry works in the East Coast and mainly for the United Prayer Rising (UPRising Canada). If you’re living in the East Coast let’s join the movement and pray together for the rising of this nation! For more information, check There’s still time to register, so don’t miss it! For those who can’t join, I humbly ask you to pray for my East Coast trip and especially for the revival of Canada. God bless you!

Be ready to receive new things

Whoa! It’s been a month since the last time I wrote here. I have said at the beginning of this year, “It’s gonna be a very busy year” (for so many times) but I never really expected it to be this busy. Our home church hosted Vancouver NextGen Conference 2018 exactly last month and I’ve been traveling with family around Canada since then because we have my inlaws coming from Australia to visit us here. I’ll travel to Indonesia to attend a leadership training and Empowered21 Asia Conference in Jakarta from early to mid of July. We are also expected to be in Orlando in early August for another conference and then in Toronto few days after that for United Prayer Rising Canada. There are so many travel plans this year so please bear with me. I’ll try to update every time I can.

Anyway, these past few weeks God was speaking to me more and more about ‘Being Teachable’. I’ve shared on this blog previously that God is starting new things this year. He’ll use an entirely new method, a different approach to reach out to today’s generations. When we talk about new things, we as churches, need to adapt. We need to learn something that we’ve never learned before. We need to bring our understandings to the next level.

Now if perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need would there have been for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, rather than one named after the order of Aaron? For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well. For the one of whom these things are spoken belonged to another tribe, from which no one has ever served at the altar. For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, and in connection with that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.”

(Hebrews 7:11-14)

Introduction of the new things to the churches has occurred when the old churches had to encounter Jesus for the first time, thousands of years ago. From the history, most of the old churches had failed to receive this new thing (so that the salvation was extended to the Gentiles) because they couldn’t unlearn what they have been taught before. They were rigid. They were proud of their teachings and believed their knowledge to be the perfect one. In fact, from the Scripture above, God shows us that He is a relevant God. He works with a different approach in different seasons (verse 11-12). He is the still the same God but He likes to make changes in the ways He works (even Jesus healed people with a unique and different method every time). And the tricky part is, sometimes this new thing hasn’t been written or taught before (verse 13-14).

I remembered last time I visited Indonesia, I was so surprised to see a lot of changes in the local churches. There’s a lot of new churches becoming bigger and bigger and there are also few well-known churches who have lost most of their congregation. I recalled I was asking God at that time “Why?” and He told me “Because the leaders of those churches stopped seeking His will.” Some of them probably learned from experience over time and formed the ‘perfect’ method, and then use that method over and over again because it’s proven to work, last time they checked. And so, they never check again.

Learning new things doesn’t only mean to receive the new things He’s teaching us, but also to unlearn the old things that can detain our ability to receive the new ones. And I personally think that to unlearn things is even harder than to learn things. Humility plays a key role in this process of learning and unlearning.

“Neither is new wine put into old wineskins. If it is, the skins burst and the wine is spilled and the skins are destroyed. But new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved.”

(Matthew 9:17)

Never think that our knowledge and revelations are the ultimate truth! Never think that our denomination is the best! Otherwise, have a heart that always seeks His will. Come to every spiritual gathering with a mind that test everything. Don’t be close-minded but learn from each other instead! Even from someone who probably comes from a different denomination than yours, or someone who is a new believer. Never underestimate people. God can speak through anyone!

The difference between the era of old churches and of today’s churches is in the presence of the Holy Spirit. In the Spirit, there’s a hope that we won’t be misguided even though we expose ourselves and test new things. Even Jesus himself said that the presence of Spirit is even more useful for us than His own presence in this world:

“Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.”

(John 16:7)

Why? It’s because Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Lord himself. It’s the one who can bring our understandings to the next level. It’s the one who helps us to discern everything and give us revelations in our daily lives. The difference is probably when Jesus taught people, the teachings work in the mind of those who are listening, but when the Spirit teaches, It works from the inside out. And because Jesus was the only One who was consumed by the Spirit, we need Him and other people to teach us about everything. But with the Spirit, we won’t need someone to teach us anymore (Jeremiah 31:33-34). We’ll have direct access to God Himself!

“But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.”

(1 John 2:27)

I believe that this is the time for the Holy Spirit to work in Its optimum power. Anyone who’s willing to open their minds and has a teachable heart will receive the gift of discernment like never before. It’s not only for Pastors and spiritual leaders but also for common people, new believers, even people from other religions. They will begin to receive new revelations from God. This is the time when religion doesn’t matter anymore, church denominations don’t matter anymore. God will shatter every kingdom of men and build His own kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!!!

_Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it_I will make a way in the wilderness and river

Let us throw away the old things and seek His will in this very season instead,

Personal calling

I just came back from IAOGI (Independent Assemblies of God International) Canada National Convention 2018 last week. This is my first conference since I got ordained in January this year. And it was pretty life-changing since God was speaking to me through every session, giving me confirmations and answering my questions. These past few days, He stirred my heart so much about ‘personal calling’ and that’s what I’m gonna share today.

I mean, have you ever think about it? What is the purpose of your life? If you haven’t think about it, you better do it soon. ‘Cause it is what makes your life worth living!

Personal calling has the word ‘personal’ in it for a reason. It is meant to be personal, you guys! It is specifically for you and there’s no one in this world can do it better than you. You may see the vision that God has put in you as something too big for you to handle. Or you may think less of yourself and thought of someone else to be the better candidate for it. But guess what? It is for you and there’s no one can do it better than you!

Isn’t that amazing that He wants you and only you? *sobs*

It is also personal in a sense of no one will understand you for this. Your surroundings maybe don’t get it. Your loved ones may not support it but that’s okay. You don’t need to push them to accept it or beg them to help you do it. Each and every one of us has our own portions of His heart. So focus on yours and let them do theirs. Let Holy Spirit work in them and reveal what theirs.

The thing with visions is, most of the time, the spiritual vision that God puts in your heart is in contrast to the situation you’re in. And that’s pretty normal. It’s needed to grow our faith in Him, to know that He is a living God.

Instead of drowning in confusion, try to focus on what God directs you to do in this season. He who has put His vision in your heart is the One who will work in you. He will lead you to do it step by step. He’ll open the doors for you and provide what you need. He’ll empower you and put His Spirit in you.

This is the time when we have to exercise our faith in Him and be a mature Christian. Trust Him in the time of uncertainties and helpless situations. Try to find more convictions and confirmations on His visions in you. Remember His faithfulness and grace in your life. He is a God who always delivers His promises, isn’t He?

Lastly, don’t be ashamed of His visions in your life! Don’t be ashamed of what you are and what you do, as long as you do it for Him who deserves all the glory. About this, we’re the only one who knows about this. It’s between you and God. So check on the motivations of our hearts regularly. Use vulnerability and humility as our coverings.

And if you have done it, you don’t need to be hesitant to share about His missions in your life. The persecution will come as Jesus said in Mark 10:29-30, but as Roberts Liardon said in the convention, “If you’re gonna be persecuted anyway, might as well do it first class!” And to me, that means to do it boldly.

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.”

(1 Corinthians 1:26-27)

Be strong in the grace,

Vision: In the back of a racing horse

Wowwww….I just had a really awesome Prayer Night and I cannot wait to share with you guys. The presence of God was so strong. It’s so intense, I couldn’t even contain myself anymore.

Anyway, in this very overwhelming presence of God, I suddenly got another vision. As I worship deeper and deeper, I saw and felt like I’m riding a horse. A very speedy one. And somehow there’s a voice inside of me, telling me it’s a racing horse. And then, it tells me that the finish line is already so close, so hang on!

I felt like this vision spoke to me that we’re in a season of acceleration. A time when God is accelerating His plans to be fulfilled in this generations. We’re indeed very close to the finish line.

Being in the back of the racing horse is never easy. We may feel overwhelmed by the velocity. We might be fear or worry that we may fall from the horse. But we need to focus on the finish line. He is coming soon! And soon we’ll get our rewards if we hang on.

Secondly, we need to be still on the back of the horse, or else we’ll fall (I heard there was a song in my heart sings “Be still, my soul, be still” at the end of the revelation of the vision).

At this very fast-paced season, I really encourage all of us to be still in the swiftness of His movements. Trust Him that He won’t let us fall. And most importantly, to keep our pace with Him.

Let’s set our eyes on Him and be still,

Restorations of Generation Z

Today, I recalled an impression that I got in a Prayer Tower session a few weeks ago. Somehow I felt that Generation Z will be a catalyst for the restoration of the tabernacle of David. This new generation will restore the heart and ways of worship and creatively produce new songs that will move God’s heart. Until the glory of God will be manifested fully on earth as it is in heaven (Isaiah 6:3, Habakkuk 2:14). It is very important as it’s strongly related to Jesus’ second coming.

But before that happens, in order for them to effectively function as they purposely created for and to fulfill their destiny, they need to be renewed in their minds and spirits. Now the questions are: ‘What are the things that needed to be restored from this generation?’ and ‘How to do so?’

The first thing that comes to my mind and I notice is really strong nowadays is vanity. There are so many pressures emerge lately because of the rising of social media and real-time access to information. Everyone can see anyone’s life every single day. They compare their life to theirs. And they know that they’re being watched too! So most people tend to display the perfect life they want other people to see. They are covering flaws and imperfections inevitably. It creates more and more pressures and insecurities these days.

In fact, we will never succeed to bring the glory of God if we are busy building up our own glory. We need to realize that it’s more important to please God than to win the approval of our society (Galatians 1:10). And that, vulnerability is the key to God’s heart so that His power may work fully in all of us (Psalm 12:15, 2 Corinthians 12:9-10).

With vulnerability, we can be a better witness of God. We don’t have nothing to hide. We can testify how God works wonderfully in our lives, but also to share how hard is the process of learning and molding our characters according to His will. The vulnerability is key to be a more relevant church to this generation!

Moreover, the quick and instant access to information makes everyone feels knowledgeable about anything as if they are always right. We can google about everything on the internet and most of us believe that it’s always true. We often forget that there’s also this thing called ‘hoax’. This presumptive habit makes this generation so quick to believe what they hear, to judge people according to what they think they know. On the contrary, the Bible says “We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away” (Hebrews 2:1).

The Bible also says, “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight” (Romans 12:16). It speaks about humility. A person who thinks that he/she always right, will never learn something new. He/she will never grow in his/her characters. And most importantly, this will block the stream of knowledge that God wants to pour upon us.

Last but not least, this social media age also facilitates us to speak up so freely and so easily. Everyone can say whatever they want, to whoever they want, often without consideration of other people’s feelings, or what it might cause to the greater good. It, more or less, affects the characters of people in this generation. Most people are feeling so entitled to their opinions, even if it’s sacrificing unity and harmony of the society. We can see hate speeches, rude comments, unfair judgments are widely happening on the internet, and even in real life nowadays.

But let us do what the Bible says, “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves” (Romans 12:10). It’s definitely not an easy thing to do, but as the subtitle of this Scripture titled: ‘Behave Like a Christian’ (NKJV), let us not be a Christian who doesn’t act like one. Ask God for His heart, a selfless heart which cares so much about generations and people, even with a lot of sacrifices as the price.

I just realized it now (as I write) that this Generation Z is not only about the generation of people who are born after the year 1999 until now (as I read). Generation Z is about today’s generation. It’s about a new culture that is being introduced by the world nowadays. The challenges of this generation are ours and their promise of restorations are ours too! Wohoooo…!!! Praise the Lord!

Grateful for grace upon grace for these generations,
